What this estimate includes

Slicer material use

Start with the weight or length from your slicer. That keeps the calculator grounded in the actual toolpath.

Waste and supports

Add a waste allowance for supports, purge, trimming, and failed attempts. Increase it when the part is risky or material is expensive.

Optional quote costs

Machine rate, setup time, finishing time, and markup are optional. Leave them at 0 for a simple hobby estimate.

Common mistakes

Mixing grams and meters

Choose the mode that matches your slicer output. Length mode needs the right filament diameter and density.

Using one electricity rate for everyone

Electricity prices vary by location. Use your own rate when a long print or print farm quote needs a tighter estimate.
