A 36 in span, 12 in deep, 3/4 in thick shelf with a 100 lb even load sags about 0.096 in at first, above a 0.06 in target.
A 24 in span, 10 in deep, 3/4 in shelf with a 60 lb even load sags about 0.026 in, under a 0.04 in target.
A 36 in span with 1.5 in thickness sags about 0.012 in under the same 100 lb even load because thickness has a large effect.
